Foreword

Twelve : a Cycle of Life.

Welcome, and thank you very much for giving your time to reading the texts as well as discovering the photos that make up this site!

No doubt it will only partially meet the expectations expressed by those of my friends who, being too far away, have not been able to visit the exhibitions in which I have participated in recent years, but know that this site aims above all to fulfill their wishes.

I should also point out here that I continue to give preference to the physical holding of exhibitions rather than the dissemination of my photos on the internet and social networks.

Nothing, especially not the number of virtual visits, will replace in my opinion this privileged moment that constitutes the exhibitions during which it is given to me to be able to confront my gaze with that of the visitors.

Decision made to embark on the implementation of this site, the first questioning was methodological: what to show, and in what quantity? This questioning is all the more sensitive since what undoubtedly best characterizes my photographic universe is the multiplicity of themes addressed.

Wishing to highlight this diversity, without however wanting to be exhaustive, I therefore had to define a principle and a framework. Considering the fact that I had spent more than half of my life in the Far East, I chose an emblematic number in this part of the world: the 12. Like the 12 Chinese astrological signs. A life cycle.

The collection of photos exhibited here is therefore made up of 12 sections, each of the sections being itself made up of a set of 12 shots. A total of 144 photos.

An additional section brings together around forty photos taken in some of the spaces where I have exhibited over the past 6 years.

To guide your journey, each of these sections is introduced in the section of the site entitled “Gallery Guide”.

Thank you once again for your visit which I hope will be as pleasant as possible.
