The exhibition, held at the Koto Gallery in Kyoto in January 2020, consisted of 50 portraits of women, gathered under 5 categories: women with tattoos, nudes, young mothers, seniors and women in the practice of a social or professional activity.

Here you will find some photos related to each of these sub-themes.

This series is dedicated to haystacks, and the twelve photos featured here have been exhibited in three separate exhibitions in Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. It offers very different points of view, flirting with a sometimes "naturalistic" representation of this object, and sometimes "abstract".

The shots were taken in the Limousin region, in France, and in the Okinawa archipelago, in Japan.

Wishing to one day publish a collection of photos devoted to childhood, I quite naturally selected for this 3rd series twelve pictures of which children are the “heroes”.

In the multitude of photographs I had on hand, I finally made the choice to retain only shots taken in the Philippines.

This series consists of photos of cliffs, rocks, and carved stone walls. They were presented either as part of the exhibition “The State of Things” held in Kyoto in March 2022, or as part of the exhibition entitled “Sonota” held in Tokyo in July 2022. The shots were taken in Japan, the Philippines and Thailand.

The photos in this series revolve around the idea of gathering. Some were shown as part of the “Gathering” exhibition in Kyoto, and “Bleu-Blanc-Rouge” in Osaka, and were shot at citizen protests held in Paris and Hong Kong. The last two shots in this series were taken during the festive Chinese New Year in Manila. For each of the photos, my approach was neither journalistic nor militant: I was looking for a little humanism and poetry in the "chaos" of the moment.

In this series, I have collected some photos which in the context of competitions would be classified as conceptual, minimalist or even abstract.

This collection is in a way the counterpart of series #1, but declined in the masculine. The photos of people deep in their sleep were part of an exhibition held in Osaka, aptly titled “Sleepers.”

This series revolves around the theme of water, one of the subjects of my very first exhibition held at Galerie Koto and entitled “The Colors of Life”. The world of water is here only a kind of alibi to evoke the seasons, and especially to explore and pay homage to different schools of painting.

During each of my stays in cities where I already have habits, one of my great pleasures is to walk the streets that are still unknown to me, and to make discoveries there, of course. In this series, I could have chosen to show unusual places or details, but I finally retained the idea of sharing some of the countless looks and smiles that I had the opportunity to meet in the street, as well as some striking situations.

This is a matter of very subjective considerations, I agree, but I have gathered here some shots that I did not envisage other than in Black and White.

This series evokes very different situations and universes, but is made up exclusively of photos where the play of colors seemed essential to me.

This last series is made up half of photos of trees, and the other half of photos of greenhouses, two of the five themes covered in the exhibition "The State of Things", which was my fourth collaboration with the Galerie Koto in March 2022. The shots were taken in France, Japan, the Philippines and Thailand.
