As part of this exhibition, Olivier Kazuma's short film, TRACÉ, which Patrice Boiteau co-produced with Belgian composer Raf Keunen, will also be presented on a loop.
Synopsis: A beach off the coast of Japan. A man awakens, then reunites with the woman he loves. But is it really a reunion?
TRACÉ constitutes a unique cinematic experience: a reflection on time, life and the reality of things, it consists of a single take entirely shot and played backwards.
The film had its World Premiere at the 18th Camera Japan Festival in the Netherlands, its Japanese Premiere at the 18th Nasu Short Film Festival, and was recently in Official Competition at the Tokyo Lift-Off Film Festival 2024, one of the 10 events that make up the international network of Lift-Off Film Festivals. It is currently online on the GeneTheater cinema platform, but only accessible from Japan.
MABUHAY will therefore be the setting for the Philippine Premiere of the film.
